With Saddam’s execution there has been a lot of interest in analyzing front page approaches from around the world. This quick Web browser tip can help you can flip through hundreds of Newseum front pages in about two minutes.
Until the Newseum crew offers up an RSS feed for their spectacular Today’s Front Pages feature. (You know we love you guys - so please don’t hurt us for saying this) this is the next best thing. I mean short of writing a Python script to screen scape them and toss them into an MySQL database . . . Adrian Holovaty are you listening my Chicago brother?
Tabs make things better
The ‘tabbed browsing’ feature of a modern browser can save you a LOT of time doing this type of journalism research.
All you have to do is create a folder in your bookmarks toolbar and then save (bookmark) links to the newspapers you want to monitor in that folder.
Then whenever you want to view your collection of current pages you just open that the folder in ‘tabs’ and you can flip through them like butter.
