Ananda Walden moves to The Hartford Courant
One of my favorite young designers is joining The Hartford Courant.
David Frazier of The Kitsap Sun announces:
It’s with great regret that I announce the departure of Ananda Walden.
In her too-brief time at the Kitsap Sun, Annie has made an important contribution to the presentations team. Her enthusiasm to try new things quickly became apparent. Early on, she took over the reigns of A&E. You could see her breezy illustration style growing week after week, to the point where I couldn’t wait to see how she’d tackle the next cover story.
Her willingness to try new things led her to designing the A section and sports, as well.
Annie has accepted the position of features designer at The Hartford Courant. Her new opportunity takes her back East – in the vicinity of where where she had such a splendid internship at Newsday.
Annie’s last day at the Sun will be March 17. Please join me in wishing her the best of luck in her new job.
Here’s the official announcement by the Courant’s Melanie Shaffer:
After an intense search for just the right creative soul to fill the void left by the talented Nicole Dudka, we’re thrilled to announce the addition of Ananda Walden to the Hartford Courant staff. Ananda is a young energetic journalist with a flair for the fine arts and illustrating. We expect she will fit right in and make her mark in features implementing the Courant’s design philosophy.
And the Courant couldn’t have made a better choice. I’ve Ananda
And the Courant couldn’t have made a better choice. I’ve been a fan of Ananda’s work since I saw her University of Nebraska student portfolio at SND/Houston.
