Happy birthday, Ryan Ford

Please join with me in offering happy VizEds birthday wishes to Ryan Ford, sports design guru of The Detroit Free Press. Ryan turns 28 today.

A graduate of Washington State University, Ryan made a huge name for himself as a sports designer for The Colorado Springs Gazette. About a year-and-a-half ago, he moved to the Freep. When the move was announced here at VizEds, Damon Cain of The Denver Post wrote:

Quite frankly, glad to get your butt out of state. Your pages were TOO good.

A few examples of Ryan’s wonderful stuff:

Ryan shares a birthday with sex symbols Noah Wyle and Angelina Jolie, as well as sex expert Dr. Ruth Westheimer. And — as if that’s not enough — today is Old Maid’s Day. Seriously.

Happy birthday, Ryan! Best wishes!
