Anyone here remember Xinning Huang? She was my intern in the fall of 2004 who then came to work for me full-time at The Virginian-Pilot in 2005. She left after only a year in order to move to New York where she moved in with her husband, Guan.
Live with her husband. Hurrumpf. Some people just have weird priorities. Go figure.
Anyway, she now has a very nice job with an internet branding firm in Manhattan. She’s looking to make a very fast hire of a top-notch web designer. She asked me for help, but between my trip to Atlanta — I’m posting this via a stolen wifi signal at my in-laws’ house — and the hard drive on my trusty laptop, which is flaking out on me, I can only do so much recruiting work at the moment.
So I’ll simply post this one to my blog. If you’re in the NYC area and feel you can meet Xinning’s high standards, please contact her soon.
She writes:
Haven’t heard from you for a while, I hope you’re doing well in lovely Norfolk. I’m still planning to come on a weekend but things kept popping up at work that pulled me away. ;(
I know you’re busy with your job, your speech and your trip to Atlanta and such, but I have a BIG favor to ask. My designer gave a 2-week notice yesterday. My CEO asked me to find a replacement as quickly as possible but I have no network of interactive designers.
I know you know a lot of people. Would you help me to find a great interactive designer who’s web-savvy and has a good personality?
I pasted the job description below. And my company website is www.brandwizard.com if someone wants to know more about my company. BrandWizard is a small company, but it is a member of the much bigger Interbrand network (a branding consultancy) and part of the Omnicom Group.
Thanks so much Charles!
