Happy birthday, Bill Watterson
Bill Watterson — Yes, the guy who created Calvin & Hobbes — turns 49 today.

Bill, I don’t know where you’ve gone and I don’t know what you’re doing. But man, oh man, could the funny pages use your talent.
Bill shares a birthday wtih P.T. Barnum and Huey Lewis.
Come to think of it, those two might be the same person. Have you ever seen P.T. Barnum and Huey Lewis together?
Happy birthday Mr. Watterson. Wherever you are.

I heard a rumor a couple of years back that he was hand-animating a feature length Calvin & Hobbes movie cell-by-cell. That would be AWESOME! And take a real, real long time. Happy Birthday Bill, we miss you.

I agree, Kenny. Absolutely the greatest strip ever. That reminds me — I should dig up all the collection books I have and go through them for a good laugh.

My father loved Calvin and Hobbes.
I loved Calvin and Hobbes.
And my son might be Calvin, or Hobbes; it depends on the day.
And yes, he likes Calvin and Hobbes as well.
I am just glad i got to watch the strip unfold day after day.

Calvin and Hobbes is the youth of today. Everybody needs a friend. I read the books everyday. I may only be 16 years old, but everytime I read it, it reminds me so much of myself. My myspace has a big Calvin and Hobbes rememberence section. I miss the new one’s although I was never really able to read them as they came out, I was exposed to it by my cousin. I thank him everyday. If Bill is really animating a movie, I will sleep out for a month to see this. We miss you Bill!! RIP CALVIN AND HOBBES…(unless of course you find your way back into the hearts of America!)…If somebody hears anything on this, let me know…goatnhippos88@aol.com or http://www.myspace.com/weeman8
