Nicole became a frequent participant at VizEds when she served as design director of the University of North Carolina’s Daily Tar Heel. She served an internship in 2004 at The (Raleigh, N.C.) News & Observer and moved to Wilmington when she graduated in 2005.

Nicole shares a birthday with singers Mel Torme and Fiona Apple. Heh. Don’t hold your breath waiting for that team-up album. Plus, today is the birthday of Washington Post sports designer Jon Wile.
In addition, I’m told that today is national Defy Superstition Day. Odd that it falls on a Thursday this year.
