Happy birthday, Patrick Clarke
Let’s pause to offer up happy VizEds birthday wishes to Patrick Clarke of Raleigh, N.C. Patrick turns 23 today.

Patrick may be the only living human in the south
who actually likes hockey. You have to admire
someone who has the guts to dress up in a replica
uniform of a Philadelphia sports franchise.

Patrick graduated from N.C. State University earlier this year. He’s interned at The Detroit Free Press and at The St. Petersburg Times.
Quite frankly, I’m not quite sure what he’s doing at the moment. Surely he’s not unemployed. He’s too talented to sit around to long. Update us if you will, please, Pat.

Patrick shares a birthday with Dave Horn of The New York Times, Alexis Bledel of The Gilmore Girls, Actors Peter Faulk, Ed Begley Jr. and Lauren Bacall and music great B.B. King.
Plus, today is Stay Away from Seattle Day. Seriously.
Best wishes, Patrick, wherever you are!

Thank you everyone!
Well, to give everyone a quick update I’m living in Raleigh and doing contract design work. Trying to mix my engineering degree and my design background, I’m currently working with a sports goods manufacturer with their product development and all their design work. The company does work with names like Walmart and Bass Pro Outlets.
I’ve also worked on a few websites and newsletters since graduating, as well as continue to work with student’s at N.C. State. I’ll be involved with redesigning of Technician’s paper and website beginning sometime in the spring.
I just returned from my hometown of Syracuse, N.Y. where I told the same story to all of my relatives. And in case you are wondering, winter is already on the way up there, we woke up to frost and 30-degree temperatures.
