A BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE

I watched it out of my hotel room window, fogged as it was. The temperature here is only in the low 70s — quite comfortable — but the humidity feels like it’s in the 300 percent range.

I wish I could have posted a photo of that sunrise, though. Dammit.

COOL HOTEL

I went downstairs to Chick-Fil-A for biscuits for breakfast. Y’know, I could get used to this CNN Center/Omni thing.

There was no sign of the signage folks. Their convention has completely cleared out, only to be replaced with what appears to be a conference for hospital insurers.

Yawn.

RUNNING THE GAUNTLET

Forgot to mention last night that for the three blocks I walked from the sushi place to my hotel, I was followed closely by a very persistent homeless man, looking for a handout.

If it happens again, I’ll just tell him I work in newspapers. Hell, perhaps he’ll give me money.
