Another recruiting alert: The Globe & Mail
My good pal Tonia Cowan — graphics editor of The Globe & Mail in Toronto — just stopped by blog central, here on the 2nd floor mezzanine, to say she’s in the market for an artist.

Tonia, teaching 3D rendering
techniques earlier this year in Manila.
—
“Someone sharp, with good skills,” she says. That means she’ll consider someone with experience or a young talent. But you’ll have to be good.
She’s not specifically looking for a 3D expert. But Tonia is hell of a 3D person herself. So just a tip: If you can wow her with your 3D rendering skills, you can really impress the woman.
Plus, keep in mind that Tonia is a wonderful journalist. She spent years at Newsweek. So make sure the work you show her tells a story and tells it well. As always, content is important.
Bring her those skills and return, Tonia will take you to the next level. She’s a hell of a teacher. She’ll make a wonderful boss.
The Globe & Mail is a high-profile paper in Canada. They’ll pay well. And who cares what the benefits are like? You’ll be in Canada, dude!. Nationalized health care!
No, seriously, I’m sure the benefits at The Globe & Mail are top-notch.
If you have the chops and the clips to prove it, chase down Tonia and show her your stuff. Tell her I sent you.
