Lunch with Staten Island
When I attended my first SND annual workshop in Minneapolis in 2000, I was lucky enough to spend the banquet sitting next to Claire Regan of The Staten Island Advance.
Since then, I’ve attended four other workshops. We make it a point to have a meal together each year. Kind of a “Same Time Next Year” kind of thing.
So I finally got a photo of us together:
Claire was promoted, a while back, to AME. She’d make someone a great boss. Ask her if she’s hiring this year.
Lunch was… well, lunch. My summer intern, Allisence Chang, won a summer fellowship to Poynter for 2008.
