Recruiting alert: Newsday seeks two visual managers
The impressive Andrea Miller, design director of Newsday, dropped by blog central to tell us she’s seeking candidates for two managerial-level positions at the Long Island, N.Y.-based paper.

She’s seeking a deputy design director to help her run the 15-person design staff there. She figures they’ll need to have three-to-five years of experience and solid managerial chops.
She’s also looking for what she’s calling “a cross-media graphics editor” — someone who’s equally adept at the graphics thing for the paper and for the online operation. The ideal candidate, she figures, might need three years of experience.
Sounds like a terrific opportunity for a couple of sharp and lucky folks. I hope you brought CDs containing your interactive stuff.
If reading this posts starts you salivating, chase her down. Talk.

UPDATE
Sorry it took me so long to get her photo posted. I’m having trouble getting a T-Mobile signal here in the hotel. But now that you know what she looks like, you can find her.
