Christine Crockett named design editor in Lewiston
Rex Rhoades, Executive Editor of the Lewiston, Maine Sun Journal, announced Monday:
I’m pleased to announce that Christine Crockett has accepted the position of design editor. She will be responsible for leading our design and multimedia presentation desks starting today. She will also guide the overall news design of the Sun Journal. Christine started with the Sun Journal in 2004 as a night copy editor/page designer. She joined the design desk early in 2006, first as a designer and then as our first multimedia producer.
Christine also studied graphic design at the University of Maine at Augusta. In the short time that she has been here, Christine has earned the respect and admiration of all who have had the pleasure of working with her.
Nick Masuda, former Managing Editor for Visuals in Lewiston, says:
Her work speaks for herself. She is a self-starter and inspires everyone around her. She is a teacher, but learns around every corner. The staff at the Sun Journal is in good hands, and, in return, Christine gets one of the best staffs in the country.
Nick left Lewiston a little over a month ago to become a senior designer at The Orlando Sentinel.ÂÂ
