And another thing…

At this very moment (12:39 a.m. Friday morning) it is 21 degrees here in Virginia Beach. Which is two degrees colder than it is this very moment in Chicago and a whopping eight degrees colder than it is in Des Moines.

Hell Frozen Over

If this continues, I’m going to regret not signing up to go to balmy Syracuse next month.

    It’s 25 degrees here now (11:40 a.m.), I won’t even wear gloves today. ;)

  2. Denise Covert Says:

Whatever, dude. I walked through SNOW FLURRIES in the Daytona Beach News-Journal parking lot Thursday morning. :D

  3. Douglas E. Jessmer Says:

Heck, we had a “feels like 24″ night here in St. Petersburg Wednesday night. I felt like I was back in Detroit or Pittsburgh, just without the snow. And no, Denise, we didn’t get the dandruff from the sky (and that’s all you got, from the looks of it!) that you had.

The sign, Charles? HELL, MICHIGAN? That’s just outside metro Detroit a few miles….

Growing up in the Florida Panhandle, school was a waste of time when it got anywhere near 32 degrees because all us kids had our eyes glued on the windows, waiting to see just one flake. That solitary flake would cue the loudspeaker and the principal announcing school was closed. Now, here in Connecticut, I can’t wait for tomorrow’s scorching temperatures that are expected to soar above 30 degrees!

  5. Paul Wallen Says:

I got to wear a sweater! (For one day, the rest of my gazillion sweater collection from Maine remain safely stowed away in the closet.)

  6. Charles Apple Says:

I realize you’re in the Miami metro area where anything goes, Paul. But please take my advice and wear pants, too.
    .
You’ll be glad you did. And so will the rest of the newsroom.

Hey! Come to Grand Rapids, Mich.
It’s supposed to reach 50 degrees in the next day or so.
    Snow’s melting. :)

BTW, Thank you, Charles, for adding my blog to your blogroll.
