Ellen Lynch moves to Orlando Sentinel

Orlando Sentinel AME Bonita Burtonwhose birthday is today, by the way — announced Sunday at VizEds:

I’m delighted to announce that Ellen Lynch, a designer at The State in Columbia, S.C., will join us on Jan. 30 as a designer on Stephen Komives‘ nightside team.

Ellen graduated from Marquette University with a major in Journalism and a minor in Political Science. After graduation she spent two years as a news designer for The Albuquerque Journal, where she worked on zoned editions and feature sections. In June 2005 she headed to The State, where she has handled a wide variety of pages, including A1, Metro and Business. She’s also very active in SND and will serve as a judge’s assistant in Syracuse next month.

Ellen’s someone we’ve had our eye on for quite some time, and I’m thrilled we were able to bring her to Orlando. Welcome aboard, Ellen!
