A graduate of the University of Missouri, Janelle worked at The Sun News in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with the Pilot’s Lori Kelley and Patrick Garvin of The Florida Times-Union. She worked on our copy desk for two years, frequently in the slot or night metro editor position before being promoted three months ago.
Janelle is friendly and fun and easy to get along with. In addition, she was kind enough to take in my intern last summer as a roommate. What a swell person.
Janelle shares a birthday with writer Jack London, actor Kirstie Alley, musicians Melanie Chisholm — “Sporty Spice” of The Spice Girls — and Zack de la Rocha of Rage Against the Machine and radio hosts Howard Stern and Rush Limbaugh.
Plus today is Feast of Fabulous Wild Men Day. Seriously. We do not make this stuff up, people.
