Let’s take a break from our Saturday to offer the happiest of VizEds birthdays to Kristin Lenz of The Boston Globe.

Kristin has been at The Globe since August of last year. Previously, she spent nearly two years at The Hartford Courant. And, before that, she designed pages for The Orange County Register, The Sarasota (Fla.) Herald-Tribune and The Tuscaloosa (Ala.) News.

A native of Alabama, Kristin is a 2001 graduate of Auburn University.

Anyone who didn’t already know Kristin got a big dose of her at SND/Boston last October. She did a fabulous job coordinating the student activities there and chairing the second annual The Intern contest.

The No. 1 thing you probably didn’t know about Kristin: She was once an extra in a video for the rock band Yellowcard.
