Jim Jennings promoted to associate publisher of Globe & Mail

Former news design guru Jim Jennings has been promoted again. He’s now the general manager and associate publisher for British Columbia for The Globe and Mail.

The Globe announced Tuesday:

Jennings will be responsible for overseeing business strategy and operations for the B.C. market including circulation, readership, revenue development as well as continuing enhancements of B.C. print and online editorial.

Jennings has been working with The Globe and Mail since 2007 on projects including art direction and last year’s newspaper redesign. Prior to joining The Globe, he was editor-in-chief of The Toronto Sun, a vice-president and editorial director with Thomson Newspapers in the U.S., Group managing editor of Thomson Regional Newspapers in London, as well as holding a variety of other editorial and consulting positions working with newspapers in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
