Happy birthday, Lisa Pazdric
Let’s pause a moment to offer the happiest of VizEds birthday wishes to Lisa Pazdric, a sports designer for The Charlotte Observer. Lisa turns 26 today.

A 2004 graduate of Ohio University, Lisa interned at The St. Louis Post-Dispatch before joining The Courier News of Elgin, Ill. She worked there for two years before moving up to The Charlotte Observer in 2006.

Lisa shares a birthday with athletest Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Herschel Walker, writer Ira Glass, and actors Jessica Biel and James Doohan — the latter of whom played Scotty on the original Star Trek.
Today is also the birthday of Alexander Graham Bell, who invented the telephone in 1876. He would have invented it earlier, but he couldn’t get a signal.
In addition, today is I Want You to be Happy Day. And it’s Peach Blossom Day. And it’s National Anthem Day. Seriously. So please celebrate by standing beneath the peach blossoms and singing your national anthem. Just think how happy everyone will be when you’re done.
Best wishes, Lisa! Happy birthday!
