Happy birthday, Deborah Block
Here’s wishing the happiest of VizEds birthdays to Deborah Block, a features designer at The St. Petersburg Times. Deborah turns 25 today.
Deborah has worked at the Times nearly three years. Previously, she spent a year as a designer for The Prague Post in the capital city of the Czech Republic. She earned a degree in English from Connecticut College in 2003 and a master’s degree in journalism from the Miami University in 2005.

Here’s a story Deborah wrote for the Miami school of communications about Americans who move to Prague.
Deborah shares a birthday with Claire Regan of The Staten Island Advance, actors Emma Watson (who plays ‘Hermione’ in the Harry Potter movies) and Elizabeth Mongtomery (’Samantha’ in the old Bewitched TV series), musicians Dave Edmunds and Roy Clark, author Henry James and artist/inventor Leonardo DaVinci.
Plus, today is Rubber Eraser Day. Seriously.
Best wishes, Deborah, for a happy birthday!
