Friday night in Waterbury, Conn.
Met Darren in Philly and flew together to Hartford. Drove to Waterbury. Drank way too much beer.

Left to right: Me, our host, Scott Griffin of the Waterbury Republican-American and Darren Sanefski of the Syracuse… aw, whatever the paper is in Syracuse.
Did I mention we had too much beer?
It’s not too late to take part in the Small Paper Summit, at the offices of the Republican-American, here in Waterbury Saturday. The registration desk opens at 9:30 a.m. Read more about it here.

Yo, someone tell Scott that A1 is non-alcoholic!

Hi Charles. Don’t forget to acknowledge the photographer! And what a fitting beverage for our A1 designer! Hope you and Darren had a good time in the Brass City!

Too A-1 is the real culprit!

I mean too MUCH A-1. I must have had too many myself!

I’m sure there will be more details coming about the Quick Course we hosted Saturday. For now, I’ll just say the people who live close enough to have attended, and didn’t, missed something truly special. The speakers were outstanding: entertaining, educational and inspirational. My thanks to the speakers and organizers (Denise and Stephen).
And, good God, what a headache you get from a night of hitting the A-1 bottle!

Very impressive! A night out like that… now I know why everyone was so entertaining at the Saturday workshop!
…and yet, the Quick Course was still very much worth it. One would not have known there may have been a hangover or two still lingering… Scott is right, anyone who could have come and didn’t, really missed something worthwhile. I took away some good ideas to try. Thanks for making my day there worthwhile.
