Happy birthday, Nicole Bogdas

Here’s wishing the happiest of VizEds birthdays to my good friend Nicole Bogdas. Nicole turns 29 today.

Nicole spent the past few months as a designer for The St. Louis Post Dispatch. Previously, she was news projects designer for The Palm Beach Post and also spent a couple of years at the Sun-Sentinel in Ft. Lauderdale. Nicole is a graduate of the University of Missouri.

Nicole shares a birthday with Jeff Glick of The Tennessean in Nashville, musicians Darren Hayes — of Savage Garden — and Toni Tennille and Ricky Nelson. Neither of whom are with Savage Garden, by the way. Also, actor Melissa Gilbert of Little House on the Prairie, comedian Don Rickles and President Harry S. Truman.

In addition to the obvious — today is V-E Day — today is also No Socks Day. Seriously. What’s more, tomorrow is Lost Sock Memorial Day.

    Florida misses you, but I doubt you’ll miss Florida once hurricane season starts up.
