A quick roundup of papers looking to hire

A lot of blog readers lost their jobs this week.

I’d give anything to be able to help. Unfortunately, all I can do is empathize.

My own job was hacked five months ago. Luckily, the Pilot gave me another job — a lesser position — which helped out both me and the paper. And that makes me much, much luckier than many folks.

It’s important to stay enthusiastic and positive and to project confidence. If you learn how to pull this off, please call and tell me how to do it.

Having said all that: There are jobs out there. Not a lot of ‘em. But there are some. And a number of them look very, very interesting.

Help wanted sign

So take heart. Update that resume, get it spell-checked and then edit it again. Make sure you have fresh stuff posted to your online gallery.

Most of all, though, don’t let yourself get down. That begins a cycle that is damn hard to break. So just don’t go there. Stay positive.

And let us know how you’re doing. You know how we love to post notices about job hires. Just think how great you’ll feel when you read about your new job here in the blog.

Best wishes, my friends.
