Come be ‘brilliant’ July 9 in Lexington, Ky.

Thought I’d take another opportunity to remind you that two weeks from tomorrow, I’ll be making another presentation of “The Art of Being Brilliant” — this time, at the W.T. Young Library on the campus of the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

This is the same all-day presentation that went over so well in Dallas last April and an expanded version of lectures I’ve given in Atlanta, Raleigh, Cary and Austin.

Content is King

In Dallas last April.

It’s six hours of creative visual journalism, how-to’s, war stories and ideas you can steal. Most of all, you’ll find it an encouraging and invigorating kick-in-the-ass. We all need one of those from time to time.

Best of all, the session is absolutely free, thanks to your friends at the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association. There’s simply no way your editor can argue with the price.

See a more lengthy writeup I posted here about our Kentucky show. Read about the other sessions offered at the SNPA Traveling Workshop — and sign up for my session — here. Find an interactive map of the UK campus here.

If you miss us, you might plan to catch me at the SNPA’s traveling workshop in Gastonia, N.C. on Aug. 6.

We’ll look forward to seeing you in Lexington or Gastonia.

Have a drink at Two Keys Tavern and eat a Tolly Ho burger for me while you’ve at UK, my old stomping grounds. It’s a great place to visit. You should stop by the Grehan bldg. where the school of journalism and the Kentucky Kernel are located too. And say hi to my mom and dad while you’re there as well.
