I was fortunate to work with Richard as a picture editor during the Atlanta Olympics, one of the highlights of my thirty-four year career as a photographer and Director of Photography.
Between then, USA Photo Director, Paul Whyte and Richard, I could not have asked for better visual mentors and journalist who knew how to handle the stress of long hours of coverage during the bombing and the world's sporting event.
