Here’s wishing the happiest of VizEds birthdays to Michael Corey, digital projects editor of The Des Moines Register.
A 2002 graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Michael worked as a digital content editor for the Register and for its youth tab, Juice. His work on the Register’s Iowa Caucus coverage in 2007 won a National Headliner award for distinguished online journalism.
Michael shares a birthday with actors Heath Ledger, John Hurt, Bill Bixby and Linda Blair, musicians Sam Cooke, Michael Hutchence (INXS) and Steve Perry (Journey), Victoria, queen of England and president Lyndon B. Johnson.
