Final Rocky Mountain News front page
Kathy Bogan, presentation director of the late, great Rocky Mountain News, was kind enough to send us a copy of the final cover.
They went with a retro look. As usual, click for a larger view:
Kathy writes:
Here you go – our final edition cover for you to post as you like.
It’s a Charles Chamberlin creation (with our crack team on what-kind-of-page-do-you-do-when-you’re-shutting-down-an-almost-150-year-old-newspaper).
It wraps – the right hand side is the front page, which uses the front page of the first Rocky from 1859 and a letter from us to the world; the back page (on the left) is a list of the staff on this our last day.

What a classy and appropriate way to say good bye. I hope and pray I never have to design a page like that.

A great job right down to the final edition. Class act. Just stunning that there will no longer be a Rocky Mountain News and that so many talented journalists are suddenly without a home.
