Calling all journalism summer interns

Or, for that matter, any students who are graduating this year.

We’re now taking information for our annual Interns to Watch feature. Our big look at movers and shakers of college journalism went over in a big way last spring and we’re hoping to do it again in the next week or so:

Last Friday, we posted a request for your information. So far, we’ve received info on three interns.

We’re hoping for a lot more than that, folks. If you’d like to see yourself listed here, it’ll cost you nothing, of course.

Here’s what you do. Send us:

  1. Your name
  2. Your school
  3. When you expect to graduate (month and year)
  4. Your major
  5. Any previous internships? (paper, department, year)
  6. Internship for 2009 (paper, department)
  7. A link to your portfolio
  8. A line or two about yourself. Something fun, perhaps. Or something about this current school year. (This is a way for hiring managers to say, “Oh, yeah, I remember her — she’s the one who spent the fall in Hungaria,” or “He’s the one who won a Fulbright scholarship.” Again, check out what we ran last year.
  9. And, of course, a current mug shot. Or a link to where we can pull one.

E-mail this to us at:  chuckapple [at] cox.net

Last year, we listed students in the fields of design, graphics, copy editing, multimedia, photography and reporting. So please send us your information today. And then pass along this note to your classmates.
