A headline you won’t believe

Yeah, the Washington City Paper is an alternative-weekly. And yeah, that means they can play a little looser with the rules — moreso than most of the rest of us can get away with.

But still, this one, featuring former disgraced D.C. mayor Marion Barry is an instant classic.

I’d post it here, but although it was the cover of a legitimate publication — and presumably viewable by anyone in D.C. who can walk past a newsstand or City Paper rack — a few of you might get in trouble for its “Not Safe For Work” nature.

On the advice of my wife, I’m not showing it to you outright. Click here, instead, to check it out. And please: View it with care.

That outrageous hed is an actual quote, I might add. Find the actual City Paper story here. Find the sidebar here.

Thanks to my tipster.

The ultimate irony is that the link to the story leads to a column called Loose Lips. I nearly snorted I laughed so hard.

Wonder how many copies of that paper were picked up. Whoa, Nelly!

LOL. Your wife is a wise woman.
