An experiment tonight in San Antonio

Express-News design director Dean Lockwood tipped us off a few hours ago, but we were busy watching The Spirit on DVD (don’t bother, by the way; it really sucks), so we didn’t get the word until just now.

Dean writes:

Kind of an experiment, but Scott Stoddard is taking a shot at Twitpic-ing development of our front page on an hourly basis through the night.

It will be more interesting on some nights than others, but an interesting thing to play with. Our managing editor also digs it as a quickie way to follow the front page.

Each hour or so, Scott — apparently — photographs his monitor and then posts the picture at Twitter.

At 5 p.m. (and remember, all times are Central Daylight):

    Cool!

  2. Steve Says:

Very cool! I just hope that he’s not literally taking a picture of his monitor for uploading to twitpic. The “Print Screen” button is beautiful thing…

  3. Robb Montgomery Says:

Cool idea. It would be fun to follow this on a bigger news or at least one where the line story swapped out and made the designer think on his feet.
