Here’s wishing the happiest of VizEds birthdays to Deb Markham, an online producer for Pilot Interactive Media; the online arm of the Virginian-Pilot.
A 1999 graduate of Norfolk’s Old Dominion University, Deb spent seven years as an editorial assistant for the Pilot, working mostly on the paper’s community tabloids. In 2005, she moved to Pilot Interactive, where she produces content, monitors various bulletin boards and comments, manages 35 bloggers and develops social networking strategies.
Deb shares a birthday with actors Diana Rigg and Natalie Wood; Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen; musicians Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Carlos Santana and Kim Carnes; hoops coach Chuck Daly; explorer Sir Edmund Hillary and late TV pitchman Billy Mays.
