Here’s wishing the happiest of VizEds birthdays today to Cindy Jones-Hulfachor, senior graphics reporter for the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel.
A 1985 graduate of Northern Illinois University, Cindy spent two years as an artist for the Herald-News of Joliet, Ill., before moving to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as an artist, illustrator and Mac systems manager in 1988. She moved to the News-Sentinel of Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1992 and then moved again in 1998 to the Sun Sentinel.
Cindy shares a birthday with actors Scarlett Johansson, Mariel Hemingway, Jamie Lee Curtis and Robert Vaughn; comedians Rodney Dangerfield and Terry Gilliam (of Monty Python); tennis great Billie Jean King, composer Hoagland Howard “Hoagy” Carmichael and French president Charles de Gaulle.
On this day, 46 years ago, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas.
