Free SND meeetup Dec. 12 in Hickory, N.C.
A free news design meetup has been announced for Dec. 12 at the offices of the Daily Record in Hickory, N.C.
The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 1:30. Richard Curtis, who retired last December after 27 years at USA Today, says an informal lunch will follow with time for networking and questions-and-answers.
The morning presentations will be aimed at small-to-medium-sized newspapers:

Richard points out that membership in the society is not required to attend. Attendance is free, but limited to the first 30 who sign up.
