Ripken Stadium is supposed to evoke Baltimore’s Camden Yards, where Cal toiled for many years. (The Marriott kind of looks like the B&O Warehouse that is Camden Yard’s most striking feature.)

Of course, Aberdeen also is Cal’s hometown, and I believe he’s an owner of the team. The Aberdeen IronBirds, a Class A affiliate of the O’s, play at Ripken Stadium and have sold out every game since the stadium opened in 2002.

I’ve only seen it from the interstate, but I hear it’s a great place to see a game.
