For your consideration…
Some folks are calling for the resignation of the governor of New York. Can you tell how the editors of A.M. New York stand on the issue?
Hmm. Is that a front cover or an editorial cartoon?
And how did the other NYC tabloids — all paragons of journalistic virtue, of course — cover the growing scandal?
I gotta admit, it’s funny stuff. And it sells papers. So who am I to complain?

We were making fun of that amNewYork cover a little bit ago. Beyond the fact that the “P” looks like a “D” (making it sound like a Saints headline), it just isn’t all that well-done. The Post and Daily News did a way better job with this.

Not like there are any new ideas…. but this may amuse. Here’s our very similar presentation from March last year:

Ethics-wise, our front page wasn’t guessing, it was reporting on the actual resignation of a colourful local character that warranted that kind of treatment.

Danield, that doesn’t bother me as much, and I think the reason is that the execution is actually pretty good. That photo was perfect for that kind of treatment. This shot of Paterson? Ugh.
