Steve Allen is a designer for the News & Observer of Raleigh, N.C. A 1994 graduate of the University of South Carolina, Steve spent two years at the Kinston (N.C.) Free Press and then seven years at the Greensboro News & Record before joining the N&O in 2004. Steve is also finishing up his thesis in the school of Fisheries and Wildlife Science at N.C. State University. He hopes to receive his master’s degree in August. Steve turns 38 today.
Charles Jones is a free-lance infographics artist and designer for print and web via his company, LCJ design. A graduate of both the University of Kentucky (1990) and Clark Atlanta University (1993), Charles has worked at the Stuart (Fla.) News, the New York Post, the Washington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel and the Cincinnati Enquirer. He spent nearly four years as a news artist for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Find his portfolio here. Charles turns 41 today.
Khushroo Ghadiali runs his own photography business, Soli Event Photography, in El Paso, Texas. For nearly two years, he was special sections editor of the Las Vegas Optic and then spent a brief time as assistant editor of NewspaperTree.com in El Paso. He also worked as a graphic designer for Wright and Dalbin, an El Paso-based architecture firm. Khushroo turns 32 today.
