Jackie Barrientes is a designer for Sporting News Today, a daily sports e-newspaper based in Charlotte, N.C. A 2005 graduate of the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, Jackie spent a year as a page designer at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram before moving to the Charlotte Observer in 2005. Jackie joined SNT in 2008. Jackie turns 29 today.
Valerie Zumwalt is the owner of a wedding planning service in Columbia, Mo. A 2004 graduate of the University of Missouri, Valerie worked as a copy editor at the Star Tribune of Minneapolis, Minn., a designer at the Times Union of Jacksonville, Fla., a designer at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and a designer for Sigma-Aldrich, a technology firm based in St. Louis, Mo.
