Sports designer Luke Knox moving to the Boston Globe
Dan Zedek , design director of the Boston Globe, announced today:
I’m extremely pleased to announce that Luke Knox of the Arizona Republic, will be joining us as our lead sports designer. Luke impressed all of us with strong eye, passion, and enthusiasm. Luke is a native Vermonter excited to be returning to the area. He’ll start on June 22.
A 2002 graduate of UNC-Asheville, Luke spent two years with the Pensacola News Journal in Florida and then a year-and-a-half at the Albuquerque Journal before joining the Republic in 2005.

Great news! I’m so lucky to have worked with Luke at the Rep, and I’m so jealous of his soon-to-be coworkers at the Globe. Fact: he is amazing.

Congrats, that’s super cool. A great paper gets a great designer. I think everyone is looking forward to you doing years and years, decades even, of “Red Sox don’t make playoffs, again” pages.

I’m interested to see what Boston will be cooking up now that they have both Luke AND Martin Gee!
