Marietta, Ga.’s Abby Westcott moving to Asbury Park Press
Abby Westcott — currently copy desk chief of the Marietta Daily Journal in the northwest Atlanta suburbs — is moving to the Asbury Park Press of Neptune, N.J., as a news designer.
A 2008 graduate of Ball State University, Abby interned at the Daily Times of Nobelsville, Ind., before launching her career at the Times of Wilson, N.C. She moved to Marietta in December,
She writes:
My last day here is [July] 15th. I’ll probably start at the APP on the 21st. That is still to be confirmed.
She’ll be designing, mostly. Asbury Park, of course, is the regional hub for Gannett’s New Jersey properties.
