Free SND meetup in Boston a week from today

Monday, July 5th, 2010

Lee Steele — of the Connecticut Post in Bridgeport and the Society for News Design’s Region 1 director — tells us there will be a free meetup in Boston Monday evening, July 12, from 7 to 9 p.m.

The venue will be the Red Fez restaurant on Boston’s south side, at 1222 Washington Street:

There will be no program or speakers or anything, Lee says. Just visual journalists hoping to meet other visual journalists. He writes:

We’re just kicking back and hoping for good weather.

The event is free and open to the public, so please bring friends so they can see what the Society for News Design does (be warned we might try to convince you to become an SND member, though).

On-premises parking for Red Fez customers is free. If you’re riding the MBTA, take the silver line to Washington and East Berkeley.
