Rock your skills in the Palmetto State

Yeah, ok, so it’s in South Carolina, but you get to work with Tom Peyton, who, and I know from experience, is a pretty cool dude. And if you can leave the beaches and nightlife of South Florida for the… uh, what do they have in South Carolina anway? For arugement’s sake, let’s say farmland… for the farmland of Columbia, South Carolina and still be happy and making savvy visual decisions, well, there must be magic corn in them there farmlands. Did I take that too far?

Ok, so, bottom line: The State’s doing cool stuff and is led by a cool guy. Apply now. Tom’s ad appears below.

Creative freedom in South Carolina?

I could write a job description about how The State is looking for a driven designer who wants to push the bounds of news design. That we’re looking for someone who is committed to great typography, bold visuals display and strong photography. That The State is committed to risk-taking and creating a design environment that is only limited by the power of your imagination. And that we’re not tied down by story count or deadly formatted digest.
But I won’t, because who would believe me.
If want to have fun, enjoy life, do great design and benefit from crazy low cost of housing, then apply for our news design position.
