About nine months ago, I decided to redo my Web sites from scratch to make them look better and be easier to update. (This was at the same time that I was launching a new newspaper. I guess I like to be overworked.)
They were slow-going, and they're still a bit of work in progress, but they are 98 percent done. Here's the rundown:
www.mosthorriblethingever.com This is a video Web site with horrible videos. Nothing gross or violent, I swear! Remember though, once you look, you won't be able to unlook.
www.davidputney.com My personal site, with a blog and a lot of other stuff and projects.
www.inevitableriseofthemachines.com This bills itself as the only Web site brave enough to tell the truth about The Robots, but basically it's crackpot nonsense. It's actually a sponsored link, (gotta pay the bills somehow!) and not officially affiliated with davidputney.com. It's a vestige of previous ownership, and we will drop it when our contract with them runs out. Though, I'm required to mention them here.
Let me know what you think. Design tips are appreciated. And, they don't work with IE, so you should probably go with Firefox or Safari.

Fantastic sites there, I must say. Although I must admit I've been a bit bored with The Internets as of late -- not nearly as exciting as the late '90s when the porn to useful content ratio was about 4:1. But your sites are both useful and fun, and are made even more so when viewed on an iPhone. Granted I've only seen your Web sites one quadrant at a time (it's like reading the paper with a loop) but the typography seems appropriate and the colors pleasing. And I'm sure the videos are quite enjoyable, if I could see them. But congratulations all around on your accomplishment.

Thanks for all the love, guys!
The first thing that I looked at on an iPhone was my Web sites, and that was what really sold me on the iPhone. That, and the fact that I am a hopeless Apple fanboy.
I can't really do anything about the lack-of-porn problem. We're a family Web site, assuming that your family uses a lot of adult language. Though, one of my future ideas is a porn-only search engine called Go-Ogle. Though, it might run into copyright issues.
