Melissa Angle holds her design cards and her liquor with equal aplomb.
In case you missed it over at the SND Update blog, Senior Designer Melissa Angle has been appointed to SND's board as a regional director for the Southern U.S.
In this role, she'll follow in the footsteps of Nicole Bogdas as SND's rep to Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina and Tenessee.
Melissa joined us here at the Sentinel in 2005 as an A1 and special projects designer just in time for the Pope's death and the shuttle program's Return To Flight. In 2006 she spearheaded the revamping our Monday Local section into a weekly visual report called Local InDepth. That effort won multiple SND awards and an Employee of the Year award (www.newspagedesigner.com/portfolios/portfolio1.php?UserID=6098). Melissa was instrumental in bringing SND's annual workshop to Orlando last year, and she's been invited back to the freezing wasteland of Syracuse, N.Y for the judging again next year.
Region 3, you're in good hands.
