Wow, did the guardian change their look a bit? They seem to be somewhat 'americanizing' themselves. Look at all those photo refers at the bottom of the page...on top of the ad at the top and a rather unguardian teaser at the top of the page.

Is this a saturday page or something? or is this the direction their going in?

Although it's not the ad that bothers me, but rather the sponsored jumps ("Please see Albertson's, Page A8") and weather ("Partly cloudy skies with a chance for great savings at Foot Locker."). And I'm being replaced by the Paginat-O-Tron 3000. Yeah, maybe that's what bugs me most.

Paginat-O-Tron 3000 signing off. Blurp. Beep. White Space. Blop.


As funny as this post is, it's also a tribute to the fact that a front page with a 5-col. ad still looks pretty elegant in Salt Lake. That and the ad itself is fairly attractive.
