… goodbye!

So my NPD portfolio isn't HUGE, but I think there are definitely some weak pages. It's just a matter of which ones.

So take a look and let me know which 2 or 3 should go.

Your portfolio looks very nice, Autumn!

That said, the first three tab covers are VERY similar, and display the same skills. I'd definitely drop the Trick Pony one -- I don't post pages that didn't print, unless they are absolutely awesome and were reduced to rubble by management.

You could even dump the classical-music kids and just keep the Pussycat Dolls.

Love the fold-out section!

The dinosaur and Venus pages lack dominant art. I dont' think they're as strong as your other science pages and I would leave them out. The Italian health one ROCKS!

I think those are the only ones you should drop -- dino, Venus, and one or two tab pages. There's no harm in having a lot of stuff on your portfolio, as long as it's really good work, which yours is.

The one problem, and I know I do this on my pages, is to post a page that you're proud of not so much for the design, but for the WORK you had to do, and the obstacles (late art, mgmt, computers crashing) you had to overcome to get it out. These are definitely things to be proud of, but NPD is first and foremost a VISUAL medium, so pick your choices based on that.

I especially like this one:

Cool

My 10 cents (inflation plus sales tax) on streamlining your portfolio ...

WEEKEND COVERS: I agree with Denise; they all pretty much are alike, but Pussycat Dolls clearly stands out as the best of the three.

MOTHER'S DAY TRIBUTE: The page is too busy. The lede art is too small ... presumably to allow for the five-story front. (Ideally, the two stories on the right should have been axed from the front. The other three, with all their elements, would have been enough for a strong page.)

SEASONAL SPLURGES: It really was a shame the art/graphic went on an inside page. It's out of place with all the columns. Perhaps you can post the graphic alone ... off the page (other graphics are posted this way). It could stand out a little more within your pages.

It's obvious you have fun with those science pages Very Happy

I second what Denise said.

As I've told you before, Autumn, your stuff rocks.

Three I immediately like are the PussyCat Dolls, the Pocket Guide (I really might steal this from you at some point), and Ready Set Goal.

That's not to say everything else should be cut. Those stuck out to me as possibly your strongest work.
