One simple rule - use your real name as your screen name

While we appreciate the anonynimity allowed on other boards - Visual Editors requires that your screen name must be your real name.

Members are required to use their real name and the name of your publication or the city and province where you live.
This simple rule is the key to the success of this site.

IMPORTANT: If you have junk filters enabled please be sure to add the “visualeditors.com”
domain to your address book and “whitelist” visualeditors.com in order to
use this site. If you reside on a corporate network or your email service
providers have implemented an automatic filtering system, please ask your
network administrator or service provider to perform this operation.

Basic Terms

  • You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your screen name.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
  • You must not abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other
    members.
  • You may not use Visual Editors for any commercial, illegal or unauthorized
    purpose. International users agree to comply with all local laws regarding
    online conduct and acceptable content.
  • You are solely responsible for your conduct and any data, text, information,
    screen names, graphics, photos, profiles, audio and video clips, links
    that you submit, post, and display on Visual Editors.
  • You must not modify, adapt or hack Visual Editors or modify another
    website so as to falsely imply that it is associated with our non-profit
    group.
  • You must not create or submit unwanted email to any other members (“Spam”).

Violation of any of these agreements will result in the termination
of your account. While Visual Editors prohibits such conduct and content
on its site, you understand and agree that Visual Editors cannot be responsible
for the content posted on its web site and you nonetheless may be exposed
to such materials and that you use Visual Editors at your own risk.

General Conditions

  • We reserve the right to modify or terminate your account for any reason,
    without notice, at any time.
  • We reserve the right to alter these Terms of Service at any time. If
    the alterations constitute a material change to the Terms of Service,
    we will notify you. What constitutes a “material change” will be determined
    at our sole discretion, in good faith and using common sense and reasonable
    judgement.Thank you joining us. We reserve the right to refuse service
    to anyone for any reason at any time.
  • We may, but have no obligation to, remove content and accounts containing
    content that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive,
    threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable
    or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Service.
  • While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to
    remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible,
    it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that
    all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author
    and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts
    by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
  • You agree not to post any blatently commercial spam, abusive, obscene,
    vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other
    material that may violate any applicable laws or violate your personal
    Karma.

  • You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum
    have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should
    they see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered
    above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed
    to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and
    moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may
    lead to the data being compromised.

  • The system uses cookies to store information on your local computer.
    These cookies do not contain any of the information you have entered above;
    they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure. The e-mail address is
    used only for confirming your registration details and password (and for
    sending new passwords should you forget your current one).
