Multimedia hub for Manchester Evening News

It seems these “hubs” are becoming popular after the Daily Telegraph’s move (see previous post).

MEN Media, which publishes the Manchester Evening News, has created a multimedia hub in its new headquarters as part of its convergence plans.

The company - which owns more than 20 weekly titles, the Manchester Online website and Channel M Television - this month moved into a new, purpose-built office complex in the heart of the leisure and arts district of Manchester, adjacent to its old offices on Deansgate.

MEN’s news, features, business and picture desks have been merged into the hub, which the company says improves communication between the different media.

“By using the editorial hub, MEN Media can coordinate promotions and cascade stories across the different media in the group, enhancing coverage for readers, viewers and users,” the company said.
