Editors quit after shake-up at UK Birmingham titles

Trinity Mirror has confirmed that the UK Birmingham Post is to become a weekly newspaper from November 12 while the Birmingham Mail will switch to overnight printing.
Around 82 jobs - 40 of them editorial roles - are under threat of redundancy as a result of the changes, which the company says it hopes to secure through voluntary means.
Mail editor Steve Dyson and Post counterpart Marc Reeves have both chosen to leave their jobs, with Coventry Telegraph editor Dave Brookes taking over as editor-in-chief of the Birmingham titles.
